This coffee comes from the Poppy Estate in the San Jose Valley of Tarrazu, Costa Rica, graded SHB (Strictly Hard Bean) and washed processed. Tarrazu is one of Costa Rica’s most famous specialty regions, known for high altitude, fertile volcanic soil, and quality washed processing. SHB indicates high-elevation growth with dense beans and high flavor concentration.

Traditional washed processing delivers clean, bright flavors. Cupping notes are classically balanced: bright citrus and fresh fruit upfront, followed by brown sugar and nut sweetness, finishing with caramel and soft cocoa aftertaste.
