Participants will learn about roasting machine operation, temperature variations, differences between bean surface and core, precise control curves, and practical application of different techniques. Through the comprehensive coffee bean roasting course, friends who love coffee but are unfamiliar with coffee bean roasting can deepen their understanding of coffee and learn more about their personal taste preferences. This training is also providing a opportunity for friends who are interested in learning coffee roasting and establishing their own brand.
The full course consists of 4 sessions, each lasting approximately 3.5 hours.
Number of students per class: 2 to 4 people
**The course includes sensory and taste training, allowing students to understand the ideal coffee roasting process in a scientific manner and learn about the uniqueness of coffee from a sensory perspective through cupping.
**Homework will be assigned after each session, and students are suggested to practice coffee roasting at the our Kwun Tong campus during their free time.
Taster Programme for Coffeeholic (Approximately 2.5 hours)
Introduction to coffee bean roasting, basic theory, and demonstration of two roasting methods: light roast and medium-dark roast. The course also includes the "From Bean to Cup" hand brewing class, introducing different manual brewing methods and demonstrating the unique characteristics of three coffee beans through hand brewing:
l Comparing easy-to-brew coffee beans
l Adjusting water temperature and grind size to experience finding one's preferred flavor in hand brewing
l Hand brewing with self-selected coffee beans, followed by a tasting session with everyone
